Ed DeWitt - Head Coach Ed DeWitt enters his fourth season at the helm for the Oliver Ames Tigers after two successful seasons fall. DeWitt is entering his 16th season as a coach and his 26th fall on the gridiron. Coach spent past seasons as the Offensive Coordinator at Hingham High School and helped the Harbormen to a South Sectional Final appearance. Prior to that, he was the Defensive Coordinator at Sharon High School. Before Sharon, Coach was the Defensive Coordinator at North Quincy High School. Coach has also spent time at Canton High School, Curry College and the Quincy Point Panther youth program. Coach played two years of college football at St. Anselm College and is a 2004 graduate of Quincy High School having captained the football team his senior season.
Coach is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and has his M. Ed in History from Bridgewater State University. He currently teaches at Sharon Middle School. He lives in Braintree with his wife Jen and sons Teddy and Jack.
Mark Lenehan - Defensive Coordinator Coach Lenehan will be entering his 3rd season on the OA staff and his 16th season coaching overall. After 2 seasons overseeing the varsity secondary, and assisting with both the freshmen and JV teams, he will assume the role of varsity defensive coordinator in 2022. Coach has previously served as a defensive coordinator at Braintree High School (2014-2016), Cardinal Spellman High School (2017), and Holbrook High School (2018-2019). His other coaching experience includes time at BC High (2007), Cardinal Spellman (2008-2011), and a previous stint at Oliver Ames (2012). He’s been fortunate to be a member of coaching staffs that have won 3 league titles, made 2 Super Bowl appearances, and made 7 playoff appearances. Coach’s playing career included 4 years of high school football at BC High and 2 years of college football at Bentley University.
Coach will also be entering his 6th year working as a Special Education paraprofessional in the high school. He has spent time working with both the Life Skills and Foundations programs. He is also the JV Boys Lacrosse coach in the spring. When he’s not at Oliver Ames he resides in Brockton and enjoys spending time with his wife, Alicia, and their daughter, Mia.
